Micronfilter

Why use magnetic filters?

When process fluids are contaminated with iron-containing particles, which can damage systems and products, a magnetic filter can be used. The magnetic cores capture even the finest sub-micron metal particles, preventing wear and downtime in often critical systems.

The AXO magnetic filters can be installed in existing pipelines and are easy to open without having to remove the filter from the piping system. The magnetic cores are quick and easy to clean.

Usually filter housings with one single magnetic core are used, but our multi-core magnets divided by specially designed flowplates are many times more efficient. Turbulent liquids do not wash away the material from the magnetic cores and the solids holding capacity is many times higher! If you would like personal advice or more information, please contact us.

Solids holding capacity up to 181 kg!

Process fluids with a high level of contamination are in most cases not suitable for a filtration system with filter media. Filter media can quickly become saturated under a high dirt load and need to be replaced frequently. For liquids containing iron particles, our multi-core magnetic filters are an ideal solution. This filter housing with multiple magnetic cores can hold no less than 181 kg of iron-containing particles. The magnetic filter cores can easily be removed from the filter housing and rinsed clean. No costs for replacement filters!

Our magnetic filter housings are supplied with various connections such as 2", 3" or 4" NPT, BSPP or flange connections. For liquids without iron-containing particles, filter housings with filter bags and filter cartridges can be used. Depending on the needs of the industry, filter housings are available in different materials, configurations, pressure ratings, and with different connections.

These magnetic filters are closed systems. For pressureless filtration systems, our belt filters are extremely suitable. Click here for more information about belt filters.

Self cleaning magnetic filter

In the KALAMIT self-cleaning magnetic filter, the liquid flows through a flow chamber evenly over rotating magnetic discs. Ferromagnetic material is attracted to the rotating magnetic discs and is then scraped off by a “comb scraper.” The purified liquid flows out of the KALAMIT through the bottom. Because the magnetic discs are continuously scraped clean, it is not necessary to clean the magnets manually.

Compact magnetic hydraulic filters

Our compact Mini-Magnet system is highly versatile and suitable for various applications. It is the ideal choice for protecting critical components in smaller transmissions, for use in hydraulic lines and fuel lines.
Resistant to a working pressure of 104 bar, temperatures up to 120 degrees Celsius, and available with SAE-8, SAE-12, and SAE-20 connections.
