Filter paper
With filter paper and filter, solid particles are separated from liquids, mainly in metalworking processes such as grinding, milling, turning, drilling, and honing.
Filter papers are also widely used in other industries, such as water purification, recycling, horticulture, and the food industry.
We offer filter paper fleece in a wide variety of material compositions, weave types, and thicknesses. All filter papers are custom-made and supplied in the desired width and length, tailored to your specific application.
Belt filters use filter paper such as our EVO belt filter which scrapes the contamination from the filter paper and automatically rolls it up. This has the advantage of more compact waste processing and a separation of filter paper and process waste, making it easy to reuse and recycle.
For every single application and process, the correct filter paper composition is of great importance. Using the correct filter leads to cost savings such as prolonged process liquid quality, less waste products, lower filter consumption, and better process control.
With filter paper, particle sizes down to 10 microns (nominal) can be filtered. It is important to filter efficiently, which means that you should not filter finer than necessary. The finer the filtration, the higher the filter consumption.
Choosing the correct filter paper
By choosing the correct material composition in combination with the appropriate filtration grade, a balance must be found in order to minimize filter paper consumption while maintaining optimal filtration efficiency. The standard filter papers supplied with various filtration systems are not selected for a specific application, which makes it worthwhile to use a different type of filter paper.
